Hi Brides To Be! Congratulations on your engagement! We are so excited for you and your fiancé during this most exciting time in your life.

The Bridal World is a family owned intimate boutique located on the South Shore of Long Island. Our brides and their guests often describe our shop as relaxed, comfortable, inviting, fun and "homey". With only two fitting rooms you will not be surrounded by several other brides. In fact, if you make your appointment during the week you will be the ONLY bride and will have the entire store to yourself. Either way you will have a one-on-one appointment with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic stylist.

Our main goal is to provide you with more than just a day of trying on gowns and finding "the one". We strive to provide you with an experience you will remember for a lifetime. You will never feel pressure from our stylists to "Say Yes to the Dress". We want our brides to feel their gown and know it's the one without our influence. After all, this is the most special garment you will ever wear and we want you to LOVE it.

What I love most about being in the wedding industry is the moment our brides realize they have found "the one". To be able to witness that special moment between the bride and her loved ones is so magical. Knowing our bride feels her most beautiful and most confident definitely gives us ALL the feels.

You will often find your bridal stylist crying along with you! We get very invested in our brides in the brief amount of time you are with us during your appointment and we are overjoyed when you find your wedding gown. We have often been told by our brides that they actually felt as if they were shopping with a friend and not a bridal stylist.

Lillian West is exclusive to our store in all of Long Island. She is known for her wildly romantic, lightweight and whimsical gowns. If you are a bride looking for a non-traditional almost bohemian like gown, she is the designer for you.

Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes. We do go by appointment to ensure that you have both a fitting room and a stylist available for all of your needs and personalized attention.

Q: How far in advance should I start shopping?
A: Normally we advise to start shopping 9-12 months before your wedding. This allows enough time for shipping and alterations without being stressed. However, with the current situation our world is facing giving yourself a little extra time in case of shipping delays can't hurt.

Q: Do you have an in house seamstress?
A: Yes. We have an in house seamstress who is available to fit your gown to you like a glove. Although we do not carry bridesmaids or Mother of the Bride/Groom gowns we do offer our alteration services to them as well.

Q: Is there a limit to how many people I can bring with me?
A: We do not limit the amount of people you can bring with you because we know it's important to allow our brides to share this moment with whomever they need there. We do however suggest you limit your entourage to the people who will be there to support you and have your best interest at heart. If you are brining a large amount of guest (6+) we ask that you make an appointment during the week if possible as seating is limited.

When I'm not working the majority of my free time is spent with my husband and our 4 year old son Jaxon. You will get to see a picture of them behind the front desk when you come in to see us : ) I also spend a lot of time with my parents. Family has always been a top priority. Some other things I enjoy are going out to dinner with girlfriends, dancing (even when there is no music on), taking walks and just relaxing while watching television.
