Here at Resilient Beauty the goal is that in planning your wedding day hair and makeup all the way up to when the big day finally arrives, this process is fun and enjoyable for you!

 

 

Thank you so much for taking interest in Resilient Beauty! I am Monique. I have been a bridal hairstylist and makeup-artist for about 8 years now. I was always naturally drawn to anything having to do with art and creating. When I realized I really enjoyed doing makeup I said to myself why not go back to school for hair. I got my cosmetology license in 2013, tried to work in salons doing cutting and coloring and quickly realized that it was not for me. I have worked in fashion, editorial and print. After doing my first wedding I knew that being a bridal hairstylist and makeup-artist was what I wanted to do with my life. I had finally found my passion! After years of experience in the industry getting the opportunity to work with amazing stylists and artists I finally decided to start my own company. Resilient Beauty was established in 2021

 

The joy that I feel being a part of one of the most special days of your life is something that I cannot describe. On the morning of your wedding your hairstylist and makeup-artist are the first vendors that you see. Not only do I want to exceed all of your expectations with the way that your hair and makeup come out, I will be there to calm you , remind you turn up the music and make sure that you are having fun because at this point all of your hard work has paid off and it is time to enjoy every moment!

There is no greater feeling than seeing two people in love come together as one. Seeing my brides reactions when they look in the mirror and see their hair and makeup for the first time. When they finally feel like a Bride! I love getting to be there with you the morning of getting you and all of your girls and your family ready. Hearing stories about your friendships. About you and your partner. Just all around experiencing all of the love and excitement in the room!

I think that just about everytime I witness one of my Brides have a reveal with their Father or walk down the aisle with them, I start to tear. When I get to witness first looks with you and your partner it is so beautiful! Just getting to experience moments like this and knowing that I was a part of it makes what I do so rewarding and I am forever grateful!

Resilient Beauty specializes in more natural, boho looks but not limited to just that. I want you to feel like your best self but enhanced on your wedding day! I want you to look and feel the most beautiful that you have ever felt!

When I decided that it was time I start my own company for a while I could not figure out a name. I prayed on it and one day literally out of no where it just popped into my head. Resilient Beauty isn't just my business the name runs so much deeper than just doing hair or makeup. It signifies my strength, how with resilience and deciding to never give up you can achieve the things that you set out to achieve! When you truly learn how resilient you are there is no stopping you! I am very grateful to have come this far and so excited for all that is yet to come. When you have Resilient Beauty a part of your special day it isnt just 'hair' or 'makeup' that I am doing for you, it is so much more than that. I want you to remember and be able to relive the way that you felt on your wedding day forever!

I get asked alot about the scheduling for the morning of. A lot of times Brides prefer to start later than the designated time. Which I totally understand but being in this industry and seeing every weekend the timing of weddings unfold, when we tell you to trust us, It is best that you trust us! I want your morning to run as smooth as possible. And when I recommend that little bit of buffer time at the end, or an earlier than preferred start time, trust me it is only because I know what I am doing!

I also get asked about extensions. Whether or not it is best to use them. In my opinion it is necessary. You will not regret it when you get your photos. They will add volume to your hair, length, and extensions overall will keep your style in place throughout the day!
