Introduction

The Miller Place Inn is a family owned and operated wedding venue in Miller Place on Long Island. The heart and soul of our business is the memory of our mom who taught us everything we know about the catering industry. We not only run our business as a family, we also treat all of our brides, grooms, and employees as part of our family.

Our mom always said “do it with passion or not at all.”

With every event we host, we strive to live up to her standards for cooking unforgettable food and caring for our customers. We don’t take our jobs lightly because we dedicate everything we do to her memory and we know she’s watching us continue her legacy.

The Wedding Industry

When our family bought the Miller Place Inn, our goal was to run a catering hall and wedding venue that gave each event the personal attention it deserved. We did not want our venue to have a corporate feel because everything is handcrafted here by our family.

Our mom originally started her business with food trucks and worked her way up to catering. She franchised stores under her name as Margaret’s Fine Food and Catering with all of her kids working and learning from her. This wedding venue is a lifetime goal come true for our family.

Specialization

One of our top goals is to make delicious food. We founded our business on a love of cooking and our passion for feeding people. We use many of our family's homestyle Italian recipes alongside modern and creative cuisine options.

Our “one wedding at a time” policy sets us apart from many other venues. All of our staff, venue, and attention will be yours during your special day. We will treat your wedding as a unique event, personalized for you and your unique love story.

Company History

The Miller Place Inn opened in 1929, making it nearly 100 years old. It’s hard to believe now, but the Miller Place Inn actually used to be a barn. It stands on the property of one of the earliest Miller Place settlers. When the house on the property burned down in 1920, the owner converted the remaining horse and cow barns into an inn.

When the Miller Place Inn opened it served as a restaurant and an inn. The inn was often frequented by hunters who brought in their freshly caught game to be cooked for them in the restaurant. Eventually, Long Island began to attract more visitors from New York City who want to escape the heat and stress of the city and spend their summers by the beach. Miller Place became a popular vacation destination and the Miller Place Inn accommodated the visitors as well as the local community.

As a modern wedding venue, we have renovated the Miller Place Inn with state-of-the art amenities and up-to-date decor but we continue to maintain the historical charm of the building.

Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful. The entire venue inside and outside. Great staff as well.

We had a wonderful wedding here and it was truly a magical day. Everything from the service to the food was perfect. Can’t thank the team at the Miller Place Inn enough.

My wife and I had the most incredible wedding ceremony at Miller Place Inn. 2 years in the making as COVID cancelled our date, but Donna and Courtney were always there for us. Made us feel like family with all the attention to the small details, to pulling off the celebration and party we wanted!   We were so happy to choose MPI for our big day.  The food and service we received were the best.   Words can’t express how grateful we are for picking this beautiful venue and having the amazing people take care of us as they did.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue and it’s staff! We got married in April and every step of the way was a dream because of Donna and her team! The food and environment were amazing and something our friends and family never stop talking about! I truly felt like the most important person in the world on my wedding day thanks to MPI! Our pictures are drop dead gorgeous because that’s what this venue is! Gorgeous! Donna truly made us feel like we were family from the day we checked out the venue to the day of our wedding and after! I would recommend this venue and it’s staff to anyone who wants a beautiful, stress-free wedding to remember.

This is a family run venue which made our experience here so personal. I worked with Donna and Courtney together over the past few months to make my dream wedding come true! They were always easy to get in contact with and answered any questions that I had. They are an affordable venue, but I never felt that I had to sacrifice the quality on anything. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The food was catered in house and let me say… it was PHENOMENAL! I wish I could’ve eaten more! So many people came up to us and complimented the food. We ended up getting the Viennese table as well and I feel that it was a lot of food throughout the night, but still totally worth it. We ended up using their vendor package, which I’m glad that we did. We were so happy with all of their vendors, and at every meeting they asked about our experiences with them. If there were ever any problems, they gave us advice on how to handle it, and if the issue was still unresolved they did make a phone call for us. They want to make sure that their vendors are reputable, and you can tell by the level of service that we received that they picked vendors that are as passionate about their craft as they are!

10/10! Our whole planning process (we had a 2 year engagement) was a breeze with them, despite covid and everything. Courtney and Donna responded right away to all of our questions and concerns, day or night. The food was delicious, our bridal attendant made sure that we ate and always had a drink in our hand. They just make you feel like family here and that was the vibe we were looking for. I can’t say enough good things about them!

This was the first and only venue that I looked at.  I am a bit weird in that as much as I was excited and understood that this was an important day I truly felt that it was just a party and not something to stress about or look at 25 venues. Upon visiting, and meeting Donna I was sold immediately.  It’s a beautiful, intimate venue and they treated us so well throughout the entire process.  Everyone raved about the food and how much fun they had.  Didn’t hurt that the dining room is called the “Regina Room”
