We are Annie and Earle Kantor, husband and wife team, and we've been the owners of Inklinations, an invitation and stationery boutique, for the past 34 years. We started the business in a retail spot in Manhasset in 1987 and 4 years ago moved the business to our cozy home office.
We love working with brides (and grooms) and helping them to create their perfect invitation.

Introduction
The Wedding Industry
I started out addressing envelopes for friends' wedding invitations. I then became a professional calligrapher. It became a natural segue into the invitation and stationery business. Since my husband and I love being together, we decided to go into business together.
We love being in the wedding industry and sharing the engaged couples' joy and excitement.

The Wedding Memories
We find all weddings to be wonderful, joyous occasions and cannot single out one in particular. While being at a wedding in England was certainly memorable and unique, I would have to say that our son's wedding in Connecticut on the water was very special.
Specialization
While we offer invitations for every occasion, we specialize in wedding invitations, save the dates, bridal showers, place cards, programs and menus. In addition, we offer machine or hand calligraphy.
For wedding invitations, we specialize in thermography and letterpress.
We are able to provide one day service for envelope addressing by machine.
Company History
After years of Annie being a professional calligrapher, we decided, in 1987, to open a retail store selling invitations, cards and gifts. Four years ago, we decided to move the business to our home office and focus solely on invitations, especially wedding. Our customers really appreciate being able to work on a one-on-one basis. While Annie works with the customers, Earle takes care of the business end as well as the machine printing.

How far in advance do I need to order wedding invitations?
We suggest at least 4 months before the wedding date.
What is the difference between hand and machine calligraphy for addressing envelopes?
Machine is a third of the price. We have many samples of each to show you.
How much do invitations cost?
We have such a huge selection in every price range, from the least expensive on the market to very high end. There are too many variables to give a set answer.
We get asked etiquette questions all the time about wording on invitations and addressing of envelopes.
Our 34 years in the industry makes us well equipped to answer these questions. We consider all questions to be important. Annie gives her cell number and is available 24/7 to speak to customers.
Personal Hobbies
We are avid tennis players and although we each have our separate games, we love playing against each other.
We also love hiking, cooking, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Our older son is a Broadway actor, so of course we love going to theatre, especially when he's in a show.

What a pleasure to work with - I had visited some other invitation places/printers and Ann and Earl were the nicest and most helpful. They provide great guidance and insight, but are not pushy and let you take your time to think about things. It must be their years of experience! Their prices are in line with the other stores - I honestly did not even see better prices online for what I was looking for. I would only go back to them for my future printing and invitation needs.
