Event Painting with Gina

Hi Everyone! I’m Gina Marie Floridia, proud owner of Event Painting with Gina LLC. I truly feel I have the best job in the world, and as I get in front of my easel every night, I’m still incredibly honored I get to preserve your most special moments and incredible love stories. Apart from the couple, I am dedicated to all the little details that make a night worth remembering. The topper on your cake, the party favors sitting on the table, the detail on the linens you chose, that one crystal on the chandelier that made it sparkle just right during your first dance, the props the DJ gave out that now sit on an unused chair, that remind you of that one song that played that night. My goal is to paint all the little things that make up a big celebration! A wedding is such an incredible event, you spend months to years planning for everything to be perfect and that should be shown off as much as the happy couple! Having been a BOLI bride myself a few years ago, I’m fully in tune with all the things brides deal with as they plan and I want to be the easiest part of that for you. I pride myself on being there for brides with a variety of aesthetic styles, budgets, preferences and I have a lot of helpful tips and patience on top of it all. I hope to be able to be apart of your day and paint you a Keepsake that will last generations.

After starting my own wedding planning in 2019, as well as attending many of my friends and families, I started thinking of a way to gift something special to my loved ones. It was only when the world shut down that I had the time to sit-down and reflect and realized what better gift than a painting? There’s something extra special about a painting, you can add loved ones no longer with us, pets, etc. its a different energy, and it’s beautiful. So there I went, painting away for those closest to me. Then, once the world started opening back up the live painting began! Through word of mouth and social media, many couples started reaching out to me to be a part of their special day and its been non stop since! I get to preserve a moment in time, cry during your speeches (Im a hopeless romantic), and paint a piece that depicts the truest of love. It’s absolutely the best job ever.

A wedding I'll never forget was the one I painted for Kaity and Morgan. Never in my life have I been in the presence of such true love and genuine people. The amount of family and friends around them that were just as happy as the couple to finally see their union, it was an energy like no other. They were the first couple to ever cry in reaction to seeing their painting at the end of the night. It made me realize how important what I do is, and I'm so grateful I get to do it everyday. Every couple is extremely special to me, but this one was a turning point for me.

With a degree in The Fine Arts, I specialize in painting from life and photo. Portraits and lighting are my personal favorite to work on. If I’m not at an event you can find me painting in my studio for hours on end (with the help of some cold brew), or doing sensory art projects with my son, the little love of my life!

What medium do you use? I use the best Golden acrylic paints ensuring the best quality and color. How long do you live paint at the event? I arrive 2-3 hours prior to set up my easel and begin ground work. I then stay up until the cake cutting, painting and providing entertainment for you and your guests. When will I get my painting after the event? At the end of the night, I’ll pack up and take the painting back to my studio to really get into all the little details, and to add a protective varnish so the piece can live on for generations! Depending on size of your canvas and whether or not its busy season, you will have your painting within 6-12 weeks! What are your prices? Prices for 2023 vary depending on size and are between $2,000 and $4,000 with canvases between 18x24-30x40. Are you willing to travel? currently as a new mom I'm just sticking to the tristate area, but would absolutely love to venture out in the future! You are not available for my wedding/My wedding has passed, do you take commissions to paint my wedding from photographs? Absolutely! If I have availability I’d love to paint your special day from my studio!
