Anecdote Photography is the NY based studio of Eduardo Pérez-Tobón.
— I am a Journalist and Wedding Photographer from Venezuela, husband to the love of my life and papi of two amazing girls!

The first one that comes to mind is this one: “Eddie, you are the only one keeping me sane right now” :)
— I had the privilege of shooting a modest and very intimate wedding a few years ago where, among MANY other challenges, the venue (a very old mansion in Staten Island) essentially ‘forgot’ to book a maitre’d or at least a bridal attendant for the day. So I went from helping the bride put on her dress, to draft together a reception timeline for the DJ, to even coordinate the entrees with the kitchen! Everything turned out amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever forget the satisfaction we all felt of making it work!

I balance between Documentary and Creatively Directed shots. You'll see me talking and getting to know you, your friends and your family before and throughout the day. My mindset behind every Wedding day and essentially every photograph I take, is to capture your chemistry, your dynamic as a couple... the one that is yours and yours only. In 10 or 20 years, you'll see your photos and think of -and feel- how amazing your day was instead of how awkward your arm/leg/neck looks. Your photos will be timeless because they were captured in a way that made them meaningful to YOU.
Speaking of timeless, your photos will be color and exposure corrected. I do not follow filter or color trends, I strongly believe that makes your photo collection "dated".

I founded Anecdote Photography on September of 2014 and since then I've shot more than 650 Weddings from most cultural and religious backgrounds you can find in New York. I named this life project "Anecdote" because as a journalist all I've been doing my entire profesional career is telling stories. Now I tell romantic ones! :D

— Photo Only? - Yes, every coverage includes ONE (me) or TWO (me + friend) VERY Experienced Photographers. (See Additional Info.)

— Have you shot at my venue? - If it is anywhere in Long Island, most likely YES. But in the rare case that I haven’t, it doesn’t mean me -and my team- won’t be able to perform awesome as expected. For new locations we do our research and reach out to the venue directly to chat with the onsite coordinator, and if I think is necessary, schedule a visit. We scout and plan ahead. But also think about it this way, we haven’t been to your parents house where you are getting ready, but we are still going to make it look beautiful and epic, and most importantly personal to you.

— Can I share my Pinterest board with you? - Yes! You sure can! As long as we are clear that is just for reference. We’ll take a look and we can talk about it but be mindful that as a principle, I do not replicate other people’s work or follow color/filter trends. Think of it like this, what we (you guys and me) are creating will be especially tailored for you in every way, from a couple photoshoot that represents your relationship to the Wedding day family formals that cover every possible combination of your VIPs.

— Prints or Albums? - Nope, it’s 2022, your photos are yours and you’ll get full personal rights to print them however you want and anywhere you want.

— Going anywhere with my girls! Even if we are just having Shake Shack sitting in the car (pandemic style).
— Listening to music from around the world in shuffle, always in shuffle.
— Riding my bike up and down the mountains :)

Coverage Options:
— Anecdote Solo. ONE Photographer (me) x 8 Hrs $2,850
— Anecdote Experience. TWO Photographers (me + friend) x 8 Hrs $3,450

I strive for simplicity, especially since a lot of things can be a little it too much when you are planning a Wedding. Knowing if I am the right match for you guys should not be one of those ‘things’, right? That is why all of my options include EVERYTHING listed below:

— One or Two VERY experienced Wedding Photographers!
— No limit on the number of images taken.
— High Resolution Digital Files Color and Exposure Corrected delivered on a USB Flash Drive and Dropbox (for a 8 Hr coverage expect around 1,200 images). I never use watermarks.
— A selection of at least 20 images in our Black & Chrome Signature Style Edit.
— Web Gallery with password where you can See, Download and Share your images. You also get the full personal rights to Print them anywhere you prefer.
— Complementary 1 Hour Engagement or Pre/Post-Wedding Session.
— Pre-Wedding Consultation to set up a timeline ;)
— Traveling/toll/parking fees on the day of the event anywhere in Long Island.
— A COI or Certificate of Liability Insurance for up to $2,000,000 (Available upon request from your venue).
— A Straight Forward Contract.

Additional Coverage Option:
— Anecdote Elopement. ONE Photographer (me) x 2 Hrs $660. It was very popular during 2020 so I’ll keep this option around a little longer.
